Like I said, I don't have anything on William Hickman, (B: abt 1782) he is not the line I traced.
I hope he is the "William" you are looking for.
The Hickman family is well documented in Chester County, PA. The Chester County Historical Society in West Chester, PA is a fantastic resource for genealogy !
The Hickman's were one of the "early settlers" in Chester County, PA. They were very prominent in the area.
They were Farmers, Merchants, Bankers, Railroad Administrators, and Politicians,to name a few. There has been much research done on this Hickman family.
