Birth records were only kept at the county level for about 5 years in the mid 1800s....then started up again for a few years from around 1890, if memory serves...after around 1906 they were kept at the state level. In general, you'll need to find births recorded in church records, which will not be found in county resources. I suggest you visit Chester County Archives and Records....their online site will tell you exactly what records were kept at the county level, and the dates. In general,
