Earl Nelson of Farmington , UT submitted information to the IGI showing John Davis was b in Plymouth, PA about 1690. This John Davis m. Jane Miles, possible in Plymouth Twp, Philadelphia Co., PA as children Mary, Hannah & Benjamin were born there. Jane was d/o Richard Miles & Sarah Evans. The children Mary, b. abt. 1717, Hannah, b. abt 1719 and Benjamin Davis, b. abt 1721 all b. in Plymouth Twp., Philadelphis Co., PA. A Joan Miles m. Joseph Powell, b. about 1690, Lower Providence Twp., Chester Co. Joan was also d/o Richard Miles and Sarah Evans b. in Radnor Twp., Chester Co., PA as show in John Morgan of Radnor, Chester CO. & his descendants. I have previiously searched for Abel Davis, cooper, of E. Nantmeal Twp. Chester Co. who may be the Abel Davis who joined the London Tract Chruch of Chester Co. abt. 1770. Members of that cngregation migrated to Loudoun Co., VA where Benjamin Davis settled and m. a Mrs. Hannah Davis. Benjamin & Hannah has 2 sons, Howell & Abel and 4 daughters: Ann, Sarah, Rachel and Elizabeth. Benjamin, b. about 1721 may be the s/o John & Jane Miles a factor that I am attempting to establish. A further clue to Benjamin & Hannah is the presence of an Able Davis, b 1838 who was associated with Benjamin & Hannah and may have been related to Benjamin but not his son Abel (also a cooper) , b. abt 1764 in Loudoun Co., VA. Benjamin d. testate 1803 in Loudoun Co. I would like to corrspond with researchers interested in these people. Jos. Williams Notify Administrator about this message?
