Looking for others who may be connected to or are researching ROSS families from Cumberland Co, PA. Allied families are LIBFRITZ/LEIBFRITZ with this ROSS family. Hugh was living in Cumberland County according to the 1790 and 1810 Censuses. I could not find him in 1800, therefore, I believe that he was either living with another ROSS family in Cumberland Co or was recorded using another name...i.e. middle name or real first name. I say this because two of his great-grandson's named their firstborn sons, William H. I suspect there was a William ROSS in their immediate heritage. One of the other great-grandson's named a son, Simon. Here is my ROSS family from Cumberland Co, PA:

1. Hugh ROSS was born before 1756 in PA. He appeared in the census in 1790 in Cumberland Co, PA. He lived in Hopewell, Newton, Tyborn, And Westpensboro, Cumberland, Pennsylvania in 1790. He appeared in the census in 1810 in Mifflin Twp, Cumberland Co, PA. He died about 1819 in Cumberland Co, PA.
Hugh ROSS and Jane () were married before 1788 in PA. Jane () was born before 1765. She appeared in the census in 1790 in Cumberland Co, PA. She appeared in the census in 1810 in Mifflin Twp, Cumberland Co, PA. She appeared in the census in 1820 in Paint Twp, Highland Co, OH. She died in 1829 in Highland Co, OH. Hugh ROSS and Jane () had the following children:
2 i. Kesia ROSS was born between 1785 and 1794 in PA. She died after 1820.
+3 ii. David ROSS, born on 25 Dec 1788, PA; married Elizabeth LEIBFRITZ, about 1815, Cumberland Co, PA; died on 29 Mar 1845, Hardin Co, OH.
4 iii. Jane ROSS was born before 1790 in PA. She died after 1820.
5 iv. Elizabeth ROSS was born before 1790 in PA. She died after 1820.
6 v. Hugh ROSS was born before 1790 in PA. He died after 1820.
