According to a tombstone record at the Kittochtinny Hist. Soc., Chambersburg, Franklin County, PA, Margaret Mcfadden died 1867, age 75.
She was the wife of Peter McFadden (b.@ 1792.) and the mother of David S McFadden and probably one other unidentified child. Peter was a tobacconist in Shippensburg, Cumberland County and Guilford Township, Franklin County. He disappears after 1850.
Son David S was born in shippensburg in 1823 and died in Chambersburg in 1886. He was a Tobacconist and from 1856-1886 a school teacher at the King St. Elementary School. He was married to Elizabeth Ward (1825-1908). Their children were: Sarah E., Effie J., Nettie H., and John B.
Effie J. was my grandmother on my mother's side.
Heidelberg Township is now in Lebanon County. Lebanon County was formed from Dauphin County in 1813.
