No, since these ancestors were immigrants, it doesn't make sense to look earlier. She immigrated about 1848. They married in 1855. I suspect he immigrated within that time frame as well.

I was hoping to find some Christening records or something, or his second marriage, or any of their parents or siblings names. Oh well! Thanks for trying.
