I am looking for information regarding my grandfather Maxwell Harris of Harrisburg, PA. I am trying to determine/confirm that his father was a George Harris of Lewistown, PA (Mifflin County). Maxwell was born in 1901. His mother's maiden name was Pearl Powell; she was b. in 1882.
I have discovered a George Harris in Derry Twp (Lewistown) b. in 1879, who lived appears to have lived there with several of his brothers and his widowed mother, Mary, until at least 1920 or 1930. Any information on this Harris family or descendants still living in either Lewistown or Harrisburg would be greatly appreciated!
