I am looking for the family of William V. Smith. I understand that the V stands for Vandyke. William was born December 24, 1834 and I am told he was born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA. His brothers & sisters are: David, John Jacob, Melinda & Elizabeth. William moved to Michigan where he married Sarah Perkins in 1857. I was told that his parents were Fredrick & Christana Smith, but I found in a book that his parents were Christian Smith & Rebecca Rhodes. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me with either the Smith or Vandyke families
