JOHN BAY married HANNAH CASHITY in August 1790 in the old Hanover Chuch, West Hanover, Dauphin County. Looking for any information about these folks. He appears in Dauphin County as John Bay in the 1790 census and as John Bea in Heidelberg Twp in 1800 census. Where is (was) Heidelberg Twp? Can't find any Cashity names so may be misprint in the church history.
Believe John may have died before 1810 and Hannah moved to Shippensburg with young children (who turned out to be Margaret Bay McFadden, John W. Bay, James Bay and later, Thomas W. Bay who died in Columbus, OH. Margaret, John and James stayed in Shippensburg area as did Hannah who disappears after 1840 and before 1850. Believe there may still be descendants in the Shippensburg, Newville areas still.
