Philadelphia Inquirer, The (PA) - March 23, 1983
Deceased Name: Edward L. Reiley
Edward L. Reiley, 83, an insurance executive, died yesterday at Devon Manor Nursing Home. He lived in Wayne, Delaware County. Before World War II, Mr. Reiley was general agent of the Penn Mutual Insurance Co. After the war, he became general agent for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co., also of Philadelphia. He retired in 1961.

He served with the Army field artillery in World War I and returned to earn a degree at Lafayette College. He was a Charter Life Underwriter and was a past president of the Philadelphia Association of Life Underwriters.

Acting in the Lafayette Alumni Association, he was a member of the Union League, the Aronimink Golf Club, and country clubs in Montgomery County, Seaview, N.J., and Lakeworth, Fla.

Survivors: wife, Laura; a son, Leigh E., and four grandchildren. Services will be private.
