not related but are Fannie and Jessie the same person?
His war registrations list Mrs. Jessie Astlin as his nearest relative or the person who would always know his address and while Fannie is listed in 1920 Census there is a Jessie his wife listed in 1930 with daughter Mary (divorced) and granddaughter Gertrude.
Also, there are two news articles regarding vehicle accidents one mentions a W.W. Astlin in 1917 and another the drive of a truck identified only as Astlin 1919.
