Hi Phil! Please don't be so formal!!! Its Kathe. Not "Mrs. Voegelin." You are undoubtedly related to my husband. He is a Shoemaker. I am researching the Halfhills for him. He is a Shoemaker from Gallia Ohio, so crosses with Halfhills a lot. The Shoemakers, Halfhills, and Lemleys seem to have REALLY liked each other, "knowing each other" in the Bibical sense, as well as using Bibical names... And seems they all had 10 kids, wore that wife out, married a "young'en" and had another 10 kids. ;} I have so many notes collected from everywhere. I am thinking I need to get a roll of paper and tack it on the wall going down the hallway. I could go down one wall and back on the other... Then I will have created the "HalfHALLS." ROFLMAO!!! OK. I will consider myself slapped up the side of the head. I will start to forward you my notes. I haven't organized them as much as I hope to do now. Most agree with each other, some don't, but it is beginning to become "the big picture." I am starting to believe that Rachel Halfhill is Samuel's SISTER and not daughter. Someone along the way said he was dad, and everyone else just copied that. Being only what? 11 yrs apart? Makes it likely, coupled with the records that Mathias has an "unknown daughter." Well... Hope you can make sense of all this... Will start sending to your home addy. Good 4th weekend to you! I will imagine you, like me, hunched over a pile of papers sorting facts and non-facts!!! Sometimes a "gap" reveals as much as anything. Best Kathe Notify Administrator about this message?
