This may be a clue to your New Jersey connection. From the Tenmile book: mary Fordyce married Ephraim Headlee, son of John Headlee and grandson of Richard Headlee of Morris County, New Jersey. Ephraim also served in the New jersey Militia in the Revolution. His brothers, Jon and Richard Headlee, came with him to the Tenmile Country. A tract of land on Little Shannon Run, warranted in 1786, to DAvid Owl, becaem the property of Ephraim Headlee. Ephraim Headlee was born in New Jersey on 21 Jan 1758-59 and died in Greene Co., late in 1822. Children of Epharim and Mary Fordyce Headlee: (1)John born 1784; died 1866 married Lydia Headlee, (2) Isaac Headlee, (3)Silas Headlee, born 21 Feb 1786; died 25 fNov 1869; married Elizabeth Headlee, (4) Charles Headlee married Mary Carney, (5) Joshua married ????, (6)Samuel, (7) Isaac, (8) Elisha, and (9) Jesse who married Maria Cox
