Im looking for info my great grandfather David Funk born around 1865 in Greene County. His parents were George Washington Funk and Sarah Rush. My grandfather was also David Russell Funk born in 1908 he went by Russell. My grandfather I will call Russell told his family that his father was married quite a few times and had children with each wife he had brothers and sisters that he did not even know. I have found two diffrent marriages according to census records. He was married to Rosa M. Murrey this is her maiden name she was a widow of a Campbell. The children that I have found so far for this marriage are Joseph R. and Leah Tempest Funk both born in Pa. He married Rosa around 1897. The second marriage I have found was to Isabella Winters the children were Mary Ethel born around 1905, David Russell born 1908(my grandfather) Hazel born around 1911 and Albert born around 1916 all 4 born in West Virgina. He married Isabella around 1904 and she died in 1916 and is buried in Brooke County West Virgina. This is all I have so far. I was also told from my family that David Funk was a coal miner and an alcoholic which could explain why Im having a hard time finding him. Some of the family seem to think he is buried in a Cemetery called Enon with his father George I have no proof of any of this. If there is anyone out there that can help with this family please let me know.
