I am looking for information on the family of Archibald Hamilton. Who owned the following.
November 1834 there is a request for partition of "Leopard", Whitely Twp, Greene Co., PA which lists Archibald died leaving widow Mary and 10 children:
Henry now dead
James
Elizabeth, wife of Abraham Wells
Jane, wife of Peter Meyers
Elsy, wife of Isaac Jordan
Margaret, wife of John Spragg
Sarah, wife of Edward Stephens
Hannah, wife of Samuel Thomson
Anne, wife of Edward Moore
John Hamilton is requesting partition and on March 1835 Leopard is divided into two lots, James takes Lot 1 and John takes Lot 2
This land is described as 315 acres 96 perches deeded to Archibald Hamilton Aug 28, 1801. Was surveyed pursuant of a warrant dated July 1, 1784 to John Strawbridge, who by deed dated March 26, 1788 conveyed same to John Stokeley, who by deed dated Nov. 2, 1793 conveyed same to Nicholas Blake who by deed dated 28th Aug 1801 deeded the same to Archibald Hamilton.
It is adjacent to lands owned by Henry Bradford, Jacob Shriver's Heirs, Mark Gordon and Uriah Rinehart in 1835
