I'm looking for ANY info on JOHN SANTEE & son DAVID SANTEE and their lives in Greene County, PA, from 1800 through 1870.
JOHN SANTEE born c1774 in either Greene or Northampton County PA.
Appears first in 1800 PA, Greene Co., Greene Twp. census (Series M32 Roll 40 Page 45, Line 3)
JOHN is then gone from Greene Co in 1810 & 1820 census. Probably went back to Northampton Co.
DAVID SANTEE (JOHN's son) then appears in Greene County, Whitely Twp., in 1830 census (Series M19 Roll 162 Page 372, Line 20)
JOHN SANTEE then returns to live next to his son DAVID in Greene County, Whitely Twp., in 1840 (Series M704 Roll 461 Page 84, Lines 10 & 11)
In 1850 - JOHN isn't found, he'd be around 76, but probably died there in Greene County.
DAVID SANTEE age 55 and wife ELIZABETH age 60 is still here in Greene County, Perry Twp., and living next to their son John age 27, his wife Lydia age 27 and two children, David 5 and Cassander age 3. (Series M432 Roll 783 Page 200, Families 22 & 23)
1860 - Still here in Greene County, Perry Twp., Mt. Morris, is DAVID SANTEE age 64 & ELIZABETH age 68 and living next to their son John Santee age 37, wife Lydia 37 and six children. (Series M653 Roll 1114 Page 676, Families 373 & 375)
1870 - Greene County, Perry Twp., Mt. Morris, is DAVID SANTEE age 74 and ELIZABETH 78. This Is The Last For Both Of Them and They Are Probably BURIED Here. Living next to them is son John Santee age 47 , wife Lydia 47 and 4 children. Next to them is their son David Santee age 26, wife Eliza Ann age 25 with one child. (Series M593 Roll 1348 Page 362, Families 51, 52 and 53)
1880 - The families have moved to Roane County, WV. Although neither family can be found on the census this year, for any location, the son David dies here in Roane County, 10 Sept 1878, his wife Eliza Ann & John & Lydia Santee are not found in the 1880 census named anywhere.
1890 census doesn't exist.
1900 - WV, Roane County, Smithfield Dist., is John & Lydia Santee. (Series T623 Roll 1772 Page 120, Family 7)
Their grandson, son of David, John Gregory Santee age 42, wife Cyrena (Wade) age 44 and five children. Most of whom move to Ohio in a few years.
Any info on JOHN & son DAVID would be greatly appreciated!!!
