Nancy FIELDS married Thomas COPAS in Gallia Co., OH on 23 July 1843. Who are Nancy's parents and where did she come from? Is she from Rich Hill Township? She was born 21 Dec. 1824 in PA and died 21 Dec. 1887 in Crawford Co., WI. Her death record says her father was Robert CUMMINGS, born in Ireland, and her mother was born in Germany. Several WI records also give Nancy's maiden name as CUMMINS. Was Nancy a widow when she married Thomas COPAS? If so, the 1840 PA census shows CUMMINS and FIELDS families living near each other in Rich Hill township, Greene Co., PA.
