I am searching for any available information on the following family group. They may have been in Washington County or Greene County, PA. Would appreciate any leads relating to John & Nancy’s siblings and/or ancestors and any details of their lives.
John Thomas, b abt 1758 in PA(site unknown), he married Nancy( unknown) abt 1780 in PA(site unknown); she was born abt 1760(site unknown). They were farmers and Quakers and raised a family of 10 children; the oldest being William Thomas who was born abt 1781.
The other children were:
Hester, b abt 1784
Nancy, b abt 1786
James, b abt 1787
Ross, b abt 1790
John Jr b 3/18/1791
Richard b abt 1792
Ellen, b abt 1799
Rachel, b abt 1800
This family moved to the Mingo Valley in Champaign County, Ohio in the spring of 1806, where John, Nancy, and most of the children lived the remainder of their days.
The oldest son, William, would have been about 25 yrs of age by that time and had already married to unknown. He apparently stayed behind in PA, and his marriage produced a son, Owen Thomas, who was named in the will of John Thomas.
John was my gggg-grandfather and I am trying to push this line back to the original immigrant.
