Tombstone found in back yard, Jefferson County, PA of twins? 1870-1872

I have a cabin in Jefferson County, PA and approx. 8 yrs ago found a small square tombstone in the back yard with this information on it:

David and Amanda ALTER
Born: Aug 7, 1870
Died: April 18, 1872

I have no other information on these two (twins?) children. Please contact me if you have any other questions. Thank you.
