Would be interested in hearing of any connections for this man. He was one of the first settlers of Glanford, Wentworth Ontario. Supposedly was abducted by natives in the USA and brought north to Caledona area then finally gained his freedom. They gave him land on the the line that runs thru what was once
the village of glanford. I am looking for any records of settlers being attacked
somewhere in 1775 time zone +- 5 years ( probably a few hundred). Could have been in pennsylvania
or even upper new york. There is also a possibility of it occurring in Massachusetts. Although it would seem a long way to go from Caledonia
down to Mass. He was definitely here in the 1790's. I have still to go to glanford historical society to check land patents and registers,
regards
andrew
