I am looking for any old pictures of the Linn's who are descended from Patrick Linn born in 1753 in Ireland and his wife, Mary. Patrick immigrated to the colonies (Pennsylvania) c1770 to 1774 and joined the American Revolutionary War in July 1776. Following his release from a British prison in Sept 1780, he moved to Chanceford Township, Pennsylvania. He later moved to Limestone, Kentucky (about 1782) and lived there until he moved to Madison Township, Morgan County, Indiana in 1825. He died there 7 April 1829. We would also like to find a connection to other Linn's in Ireland, if at all possible. Patrick's family is supposed to have owned a fleet of ships in Ireland, if that helps. My family line is: Patrick & Mary William & Sarah Mays Patrick Henry & Elizabeth Galloway Robert & Catherine Hysaw Robert Benjamin & Jessie Lee James Robert B. Jr. & Junia Beebe I would love to have pictures of these families as well as their brothers and sister's families. I have a few pictures of my grandparents, Robert Benjamin and Jessie James, and their son's and am more than happy to share those. Also, if anyone has old bibles of the Linn family or Linn family stories, I would love to have those as well (obviously, copies of the bible!). One more thing - if anyone knows whether there is a Linn DNA project, I would love to hear about that. My dad did a DNA test and I would like to compare to see if we can trace back where Patrick Linn (b. 1753) was born. From another Lynn who compared with my dad's, it APPEARS that there may be a Scottish link more than Irish - but that is by no means definite. Thanks Notify Administrator about this message?
