Yes. I have been told that about the Cherokee not likely being in Pennsylvania. I feel it is more likely that the 1880 census report that Elizabeth Blackburn Scalf is listed on as being born in South Carolina is probably more correct and, that, would make it more likely that she is from South Carolina if she is a Cherokee Indian. I'm still looking for the info on her background though as I have not been able to find out anything on her, but, thanks for the info. It does make matters more convincing that the Elizabeth I am looking for was probably from South Carolina.
