I'm looking for any connections to a Krouse family in the Montgomery County area. My 2x great grandfather was a Benjamin Franklin Gearhart Krouse (I'll call him "BFGK," 1832-1883). I have from a photo of a family bible record that his parents were a John and Susanna Krouse.
Various census records show his birthplace as either PA or NJ, but since he lived most of his life in PA I looked on the PA side of the border between those states.
An 1850 census record shows a John and Susanna Krouse living in Pottsgrove with a child Franklin of close to the right age. Other children listed are Elizabeth (1829), Conrad (1831), Mary (1837), Jonas (1839), Sevilla (1840), Aaron (1843), and Susanna (1847).
After his marriage in 1857, BFGK moved to Perry County with wife Hannah Weirick.
I'm looking for any information that would confirm the family I've found as the correct line to trace, and of course if anyone has anything on their ancestors I'd appreciate it.
