Hello,
I'm looking for help on locating cemetery info from Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Hanover twp, Washington co PA on
James & Mary Jane Ayer's / or Ayres.
They are listed in the 1900 & 1910 census in Mount Pleasant area 1st precinct,
1910 James Ayers was 80 yrs old & Mary Jane 74 yrs old.
Also wondered if there were any RALSTON family buried there in the same cemetery?
I feel Mary Jane was a Ralston & would love to find an newspaper obituary on her.
She is listed in an obit of a James Ralston in 1909 as a sister, Mrs. James Ayres of Hickory, PA. Another sister of James Ralston was listed as Mrs. Thomas Lowry of Burgettstown, PA.
James Ralston's wife Sarah obit also mentions a sister Mrs. Margaret Craven's of Cincinnati, OH in 1916.
James & Mary Jane Ayres were listed in 1870 & 1880 census in Robinson twp, Washington co PA.
Children in census Mary B., Margaret A., Marion A, Franklin S, Sarah E. & Loetta or Etta who was listed in 1880 census & she married a John Hunter McMillian & Valarie has more on this family line on Ancestry.com. She says Etta & John McMillian are buried in Mount Pleasant & I bet her parents were also. We would love to find the couples obituary's to see if there are more clues on the family & the Ralston connection.
