I am trying to find information regarding the death of my cousin Leon BOSTEDOR. He was born in Manchester, Washtenaw county, Michigan on 29 November 1885, the son of William BOSTEDOR and his wife Ida M. POST. Leon was at home on the family farm in the 1900 census, but married Mabel Janette ROBINSON in Westmoreland county on 26 June 1906.
Leon's brother Lloyd married Mabel's sister Grace Irene in Westmoreland county on 28 December 1904. Mabel and Grace were the daughters of Jerome ROBINSON and his wife (Lucy SUTTON?). Lloyd and Grace had two children born in Pennsylvania (Marguerite c. 1905 and Lester William on 9 April 1907) before moving back to Michigan.
I believe Leon died and was buried in Pennsylvania for a number of reasons. His death information was not found in a file compiled by one of my late cousins in Michigan. I think if Leon had died in Michigan, his nephew (grand-nephew?) would have found the information. Leon does not appear to be buried in one of several cemeteries used by the family. His widow, Mabel, remarried in Grass Lake, Jackson county, Michigan on 13 March 1910, but listed "Monessen, PA" as her residence. I think perhaps Mabel had returned to Michigan to visit family when she remarried there. She and second husband James C. HAWLEY are buried in Michigan.
If anyone should have access to either a death certificate or cemetery index, I would appreciate a check for Leon. Thank you!
