I recently found an old marriage document of her son's that said she was from Westmoreland County. She married Mathias Cypher (spelled 100 ways) in Butler County, PA. They were German Catholics. One of her husband's sisters married a Peter Ruffner.. I don't know if there was any relation. I was told there were still people in Westmoreland Co. with the name Ruffner/Rufner. I know its a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has found either of these Rufners in their research? thanks Michele Notify Administrator about this message?
