Mary Ann Ruffner was born 2 Sept 1809 in Unity Twp. Westmoreland Co. to George Adam Ruffner & his wife Elizabeth Grunewald. George was a son of Christian Ruffner & his wife Mary Ottilia Kuhn. Christian was a son of Simon Peter Ruffner & his wife Mary Barbara Schlitz.

Mary Ann married Matthais Cyphert and they had a son Peter J. Cyphert.

I don't have any data relative to a sister of Matthais marrying a Peter Ruffner.

I can send you a genealogy report on the Ruffner family, but it is a fairly large file with reference sources.

The Ruffner family is a colateral line of mine as I am descended from Peter Bridge and Anna Margaret Ruffner
