OK, I just had a chance to look at the second manifest from 1899. I remember seeing that one in my searching. I think I ruled it out because of the destination...Youngstown, Ohio. At the time it didn't make sense that he would be going to Youngstown, Ohio when his family was in PA. But it's quite possible they lived in Ohio then later moved to PA. His first manifest does not list his destination. My grandfather was born in 1899. I'll have to see if I can find his birth certificate.

But hmmm, you may have stoked the fire here Robert.
