Spent some time on the Porac website yesterday after your post. The name Kolesar was mentioned as members of the Gk. Cat. church and there was a school picture from the 1920s that listed two little boys with that last name...and a Kolesar on the 1839 census in the next town. Emailed to post the surname there and it came back. Will try to dig deeper in that area.

Yes, Alagich is from Croatia and they settled in PA. It was my late husbands name. He was named after his grandfather, Stefan, who came over from Croatia. The rest of the family Americanized the name, adding an H in front. Not many people pronouce it correctly.
