Roberta,
If the first three numbers of his social security number fall within 159-211 then he received his card in PA. If not let me know what the number is and I'll tell you what state he was in. At least then you'll know where he was living at that time. Tunkhannock may have been his place of retirement. A lot of people moved to New Jersey to work. It is also possible that he was from Luzerne or Lackawanna Counties.
