My mistake concerning P. John Paar. He was actually the brother of my g-grandfather and his name was really Johann Peter Paar (b1851). His wife's name was Margaret Meitzler. Their son in the census is listed as C. Peter Paar, but was really Peter Charles Paar. Also listed in that household was a brother, Peter. His full name was Johann Peter Paar (b1854).
The 3rd Paar brother who emigrated to NY in the early 1840's, and who I mistakenly identified as P. John Paar, was Johann Daniel Paar. He was married to Caroline Becktold.
Since I have your email address, I'll send you a file of the descendents of Peter Paar (1754-1826). With all of the Peter's, John's, John Peter's, Peter John's, you need a score card to keep track of them all. Again, I've come across a Marcus Paar in the 1900 census, but have never been able to find any connection. You may be able to find a link.
I have my Paar line back to a Thomas Pfarr, who was my 11th great-grandfather. I don't have any dates on him, but his grandson and my 9th great-grandfather was born in 1598. So I'm guessing that Thomas was born in the 1520's or 30's.
