Kathy, Are you aware of SOUVENIR HISTORY OF PELLA, IOWA which lists Mr & Mrs M Paardekooper arriving from Holland in 1856. It also lists: Gerrit, Willem, Pieternella,
Aantje, Jaantje,Matthijs & Geertje. Gerrit is listed as a wounded Civil War soldier from Pella. Wm. also served. I have not learned where in Holland theycame@e from. Please let me know what you discover!
