My name is Herman Anton Paasch. I am the son of Herman Augusta Carl Paasch, son of Carl and Mathilda Forestier Paasch. I now live in Florida and doing research on my family. My grandparents had ten children. They were Augusta Wihelmina Alberta Born in Germany in 1878, John W. born in 1880 in USA, Paul Rudolph Emily-1882, Emil, 1885; Anna Marie Maathilda-1886; Marie Dorothea Ferederica-1890; Wilhelmina Emilie-11893; Herman (my father) 1896 All born in the USA. Carl had a brother August Paasch born in Prussia in 1854, My grandfather Carl was born in Prussia in 1846. August had a son Henry-1902 (who has died in the past few years but I had an opportunity to meet him at a Paasch family reunion in Clinton)Henry who would be a sibling of Ella has a son living in Clinton, Iowa. His name is Donald, He is the person who help plan the reunion several years ago. Your grandfather August Johann Christian Paasch also had a brother the oldest Wilhelm Paasch that did not come to American (I am told there was a possiblity of two brothers left in Germany) I have a letter Wilhelm wrote to my grandfather Carl telling him how bad live in Heinrichswalde a village in the comunity of Uekerunde, County, Stettin Prussia (now Poland) no food to expensive, no wood for stoves etc. I am still trying to sort out so much of the bits and pieces that I have. Most I got from the reunion, old letters, photo's etc. If you wish to receive what I have, let me know and when I get it all compiled, will send copy. Herman Anton Paasch, Jr.
