Dear Ann, I'm glad you're still using this Email addresss. I was afraid I might have trouble reaching you. I forgot to metion there's also a photo of Clara Pabitzky, Herman's daughter, who sang opera in Saint Louis. She was close to our ancestor, William Frederick Pabitzky. He named his first daughter for her. Now that May's gone, I can tell you two of her most cherished family legends are proven untrue. Elizabeth Reynolds Jacoby was not the daughter of English aristocrats, and she and Frank Jacoby met in the United States, not in England. Also, William Frederick and Mary Francis Jacoby Pabitzky didn't bury two babies along the trail on their way to Nebraska. Two babies died, but died where they were living, and it was at different times and in different places. I kept this quiet while May was living. She so loved the stories, and was so convinced of their truth, I couldn't bring myself to tell her they were fairy tales. I also have copies of early Jacoby family documents, and a few Pabitzky documents. It will take awhile to get them copied, and I may have to snail mail them. I have a scanner, but have had trouble using it. Are you still doing research? Always, Lynn Notify Administrator about this message?
