Dear Cousins, There was never much activity on this board, and there hasn't been any at all for several years. It appears too that a Pabitzky webpage, containing quite a bit of genealogical information, has been taken off the internet. That's probably because there's so few Pabitzkys in the United States, and all, at present, seem to be members of the same family. Still, there's always the possibility someone will come here looking for information. If so, you'll probably find the people who posted here can no longer be reached at the Email addresses given here. (That's why I'm posting - to make sure I can still be reached! My Email address now is elb@ev1.net) I found only three Pabitzkys in the United States prior to 1860, and they were brothers. They were German, by the way, not Polish as many people suspect, and suprisingly well educated for the times! All had families, but two of the lines died out. Unless another branch of Pabitzkys makes a suprising appearance, all Pabitzkys now in the United States are descendents of Robert and Margaretha Dobbelmann Pabitzky through their only child, William Frederick Pabitzky. There may be relatives descended through the daughters of Robert Pabitzky's brothers, but if there are, they're not known to Robert's descendents. If you're looking for Pabitzkys, please contact me. I'll be glad to try and help. Always, Lynn Notify Administrator about this message?
