My name is Eva Pabon Mendoza (maiden name Eva Pabon Negron Rodriquez). All I know about the Pabon family is as follows:
My father-Luciano Pabon Rodriquez. one brother,Lino Pabon Rodriquez (both deceased now) and both born in Vega Baja,
Puerto Rico in 1914/1917. Luciano came to U.S.(Rocky Hill,N.J.) in 1946 to work, and later moved to Philadelphia. In the 1930's Luciano earned his money by singing and playing guitar all over the island (parties, weddings,etc.) He even wrote my mom a special song(music and lyrics-"Florecita Gentil y Perfumada" beautiful song that he would sing to us as children in Philadelphia.....
My siblings are-Sara Eneida Pabon, Ralph Willian Pabon(deceased) Alma America Pabon and Ramon Antonio Pabon.
My paternal grandparents were Ramon Pabon and Angela Rodriquez, both born in P.R. (not sure so I'm investigating ). I heard stories that Angela died in the hospital (vega baja) and it was a tragic death. My sister Sara looks a lot lkie Angela, according to 'papi'.
Luciano married my mom Felicita Negron Monte in 1939 in Vega Baja (iglesia catolica). Mom was also born in Vega Baja (same time as papi). Her parents "Don" Antonio Negron and Alejandrina Monte, were land and livestock owners in Vega Baja (Almirante Norte), and had several employees. My grandfather's brother had a lot of property (sugar cane fields) in Dorado... According to stories, the Negrons did not approve of Luciano because he was just a 'musician' and a 'playboy'. But handsome and romantic and intelligent he definitely was!! God Bless him and God Bless the 'Pabon family'............
