am a descendent of Johan Adam PAPST who was born in Germany. He died in 1807 in Osnabruck Center, Ontario. Johan married Eva Maria HAMM in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Johan Adam PAPST and Eva Maria HAMM had the following children. Ann Maria PAPST, Elizabeth PAPST, Maria Barbara PAPST who was born Nov 3 in Schoharie, New York, Rudolph PAPST was born in 1760 in Philadelphia, Pennsyvania, USA. He died July 29/1829 in Toronto, Ontario, Margaret PAPST was born August 8/1767 in Montgomery County, New York, USA., Daniel Frederick PAPST was born June 23/1768 in Schoharie, New York, USA. He died March 28/1848 in Osnabruck Center, Ontario, Catherine PAPST was born July 30/1773 in Scholharie, New York, John Adam PAPST was born July 12/1777 in Brunswick, New York. He died Jan.20/1869 in Osnabruck Center, Ontario. One of John Adam Papst son's was Rudolph Papst who sold John Adam Papst land in 1831. During the period of 1834-1835, Rudolph Papst and his family moved to what is now Osgoode Township, Russell (later Carleton) County, Ontario, after selling the land described above. Rudolph and his family are found on the 1842 Census of Osgoode Township showing that he had been in the province for 38 years, and enumerating the remainder of his family by varius age groups. Ann Wood and Rudolph Papst had married by 11 Oct 1838, when she, Ann (Wood) Papst petitioned for a land grant as a daughter of John Wood of Cornwall and Osnabruck. In 1851 the Agricultural Cenesus of Osgoode Township reveals that Rudolph Papst is living on East 1/2, Lot 39, Concession 8 with 50 acres. One of thsie children was William Poaps who resided on the land in a separted dwelling. This William married Cythia Sally Brown and I am trying to locate a graveyard where William and Cythia are buried. Any researchers that help me with this queery would be apprciated.
