Glenda:
Sarah Jane Pace was b. in 1829 in Pittsylvania Co, VA and married Essau Bagley on 5/10/1847 in Cedar Co, MO. Sarah was a daughter of William Edward Pace b. 1/1/1800 in Pittsylvania Co, VA, d. bef. 1850 in Vernon Co, MO and Ruth Morris b. 1795 VA, d. aft. 1850 in Benton Co, AR. They married 3/1/1822 in Pittsylvania Co, VA and had 8 children. Ruth was a Cherokee and a devout Baptist. She and her family were on the 1850 census of Cedar Co, MO, all children born in VA. She was a daughter of William Morris of Brunswick Co, VA. I don't know who her mother was. William Edward Pace and family arrived in MO soon aft. 1839. He was a son of Francis Pace b. 11/23/1764 Goochland Co, VA, d. 1842, m. Elizabeth Robinson, m. 10/10/1785 in Fluvanna Co, VA. Francis was a son of John H. Pace and Susanna Houchins.
I can send you a more detailed lineage by direct email if you are interested.
Gordon W. Pace
