Laura: Ebben Pace is on the 1910 census of Moniteau Co, MO, Moreau Township as follows: Ebben Pace 27 b. MO, parents b. MO, wife Rosella 26 b. MO, parents b. MO,son Cledeath B. 7 MO, daughter Edith L. 2 MO, daughter Mary K. 3/12 MO. In the same county in Walker Twp is James Christopher Pace (shown as J. C.) age 50 (b. 1858) b. MO, parents b. KY, living with son Alonzo 19 MO, and daughter Mary 17 MO. Also in household is sister Amanda Belle 27 and niece Ora Swearining 22. In the same county in California Twp is Joseph Griffin Pace (shown as Joseph G.) age 46 (b. 1863) MO parents b. TN MO. Wife is Cora age 37, children are: Helen, Clyde, Carlos, Nellie, Roy and Ned. I suspect that Ebben (which may be a nickname for Ebenezer) was a son of James Christopher Pace as Cora was too young to be his mother. You should be able to find Ebben living with his parents on the 1900 census, probably in Moniteau Co. James C. and Joseph G. were sons of Benjamin F. Pace b. 1830 TN (or KY) m. Martha Jane b. 1836 MO and Benjamin F. was very likely a son of John R. Pace b. 1791 VA, married Emily Taylor abt. 1824. There has been some speculation about what the ancestry of John R. Pace was. Interestingly Benjamin F. Pace did not seem to know where he was born as he showed KY in one census record and TN in another. Gordon W. Pace Notify Administrator about this message?
