Just received a copy of the Marriage License of
William H.Pace & Sarah A.Pace
age of Husband- 35 years
age of wife- 34 years
married of 17th day of December ,1885 at the residence
of the Bride's parents.

Names of husband's parents- John R.and Elizabeth
Names of Wife's parents- Jesse and Martha E.Pace

Minister's return of Marriage signes by:
James H. Dalby- M.E.Church, South

Which Jesse is this? Was he a brother to John R.Pace?

What became of William H.Pace and Sarah?
Did they have children?

I seem to remember a record of him in the Civil war.
He was also a brother to James L.Pace.Richard A.Pace,
John Walker Pace and a sister, Frances.

The above are named in an old deed to some land which
I still own in Fluvanna, as heirs of John R.Pace

My mother was Vera Walker Pace b. 1893
daughter of John Walker Pace and Rebecca Ann Robinson

Rebecca Ann Robinson was the dau.David C.Robinson and
Mary Ann Herndon.
He was first married to a Mary Hodges in Goochland,
who had some connection to the Exolheath Page family
David and Mary Hodges had several children before his
marriage to Mary Herndon, a sixth generation descendent
of Edward Herndon and Catherine Diggs.

HE served in the war of 1812, for which I have a copy
of her pension papers.
Cannot find anything more about him, born abt. 1789
