Cuthbert Champion,son of Moses and Frances Hudnall Champion, mar. Elizabeth Williamson. Their daughter, Franky, (1775-1856), mar.(2 June 1796) Elijah Bledsoe. Cuthbert's son, John Champion, (1785-1860), mar. Rebecca Woodson, and had Nancy C., Elizabeth, and Mary C. who mar. James Henry (or Lee/M.) Pace, and became my ggparents. (There may have been other children of Cuthbert.) Champion Bledsoe (son of Franky & Elijah) and wife (?)Emily sold property to James L. Pace in 1848: 58 1/2 acres on both sides of rd. from Central Plains to the courthouse. In 1886, 51 1/2 acres of this property was sold by Mary Pace, Charlie Pace & Bettie his wife (my gparents), Philip Pace, Barret P. Shipp & Mary E. his wife, Lucy J. Pace & Champion Pace. Most of this info came from Bob Siegfried. Now about the Bugg family. My Aunt Louise Pace Jackson, Atlanta, GA, received a letter, years ago, from Rachael M. Drummond (we have the same gparents). She sent an obit of Mrs. Virginia Minter Bugg, 85, of Richmond, widow of Thomas Jackson Bugg, who died Tues., Feb. 21,1984. Survived by dau., Mrs. Virginia B. Monts, of College Park, MD; two sons, Thomas J. Bugg, Jr., of Shores, VA; Waverly M. Bugg, of Mechanicsville; seven grandchildren, eight ggchildren; several nieces and nephews. Woody Funeral Home.
