Your Sarah E. Pace was on the 1860 census of Magoffin Co, KY (age 2)and the 1870 census of Magoffin Co, KY, Salyersville (age 12)living with her very large family. Her siblings were: Docia, Doria, Louisa E., Prince Albert, Samantha Jane b. 1856, Jonathan James b. aft 1860, Margaret Cynthia b. 1860, Mary E. b. 1862, John J. (or C.) b. 1866, William Henry b. 1869, Taylor R. b. 1873 and Dotia b. 1876. The parents were Matthew Pace b. 1836 in Harlan Co, KY, d. aft 1900 in Magoffin Co and Elizabeth Saylor b. 7/1837 KY, married 1855 in Johnson Co, KY. I am wondering if the mother's surname was actually Salyer (instead of Saylor) as many early townships were named after pioneer families.
