While looking for something else, ran across this marriage license record and copied it from "Marriage Record 1, 1850-1873, Formerly Book 3" at the courthouse in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., GA:
"Issued Licence to Marry Thomas Pace and Ann R. Benson January 21st 1856. Benj F Tatom Ordinary"
No idea who these people are but hope someone will find it helpful. Lincoln Co., GA is on the SC border.
