My grandmother was Luisa Pacelli who married Nicola Zoccolillo who was also related to the Pacelli family (they were cousins) from San Salvatore. Nicola came to the States first and lived with Pacelli cousins named Fusco in the New Haven, Ct. area. The connection to Pope Pius XII was apparently on the Luisa Pacelli side of the family. Luisa had 3 brothers--2 came to the US (Archangelo & George, had a chicken business) & settled in New Haven, Ct. Another brother remained in Italy (Joseph?). Nicola returned to Italy, married Luisa, supposedly in Rome, St. Peter's (don't know if that's legend or fact, then returned to the US & settled in NYC, early 1900s). Parents of Luisa & brothers were land owners. Please respond to how any of the above relate to your respective families. Thanks!
