Dear Michael,
My grandparents also came from Benevento, Italy and both of them were Pacelli's. Like most of the other Pacelli's, my mother claimed she too was a cousin of Pope Pius XII. My grandmother's name was Luisa Gartelli Pacelli and my grandfather, also a Pacelli, but his name was Nicola Zoccolillo. When Nicola came to the U.S. he stayed with Pacelli's in Ct., other Pacelli's and a cousin by the name of Fusco. My grandmother's brothers were Archangelo and Giovanni Pacilli. They also lived New Haven, Ct. Any info about the Pacelli family history would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Janet Michello, New York
