Anthony, Adeline, Sadie, Helen, Michael, "Aetellio", Fanny Pacelli Brooklyn, NY

I found the following in the 1920 Census. There might be a relation to me, considering I had Pacellis living on the same street in 1910:

In 1920, living at 20-something St. Edwards Street in Brooklyn, NY was:

Anthony Pacelli, head, age 36, born in Italy, parents from Italy, came to US in 1900, machinist with Navy Yard.

Wife Adeline, age 30, born in Italy, parents from Italy, came to US in 1908

Daughter Sadie, age 10

Daughter Helen, age 8

Son Michael, age 6

Son “Aetellio”, age 4 (can’t read name well)

Daughter Fanny, age 3

Anthony could be Joseph/Angelo’s brother - see below (he would be the correct age) or a cousin, since Joseph/Angelo apparently had cousins in NY.

This is additional information about my Pacellis:

1900:
In 1900 these Pacellis were living at 59 Summitt Street Brooklyn, NY (although, their name was spelled "Pascelli"-not sure if this was an error.) Listed:

Francesco Pascelli: b. June 1846 Italy age 54. He was a day laborer

Wife Jennie Pascelli: b. July 1847 Italy age 52.

Son Joseph Pascelli: b. August 1881 Italy age 18. He was a barber.

Daughter Gracie Pascelli: b. January 1887 age 13. Her occupation had something to do with cloth, but the second word was unreadable. We're not sure what happened to her, but she was the mother of my grandfather Eugene Amaddio who lived with the Pacellis.

Unamed 3rd child (could be Frank): A third child is listed as living, but not on Summit St.

*Note, the Joseph above could be Joseph Angelo or Angelo Joseph.

1910:
In 1910 the name was spelled “Pecelli” in the Census. These Pacellis were living at 85 St. Edwards St. Brooklyn, NY. Listed:

Francis Pecelli: age 65, retired.

Wife Giacoma Pecelli: age 60.

Son Joseph Pecelli: age 29, barber.

Daughter-in-law Adi Pecelli: age 30, 2nd marriage, born in Austria, language German, father from Germany, mother from Spain, came to US in 1890.

Grandson Eugenio(a) Amadio: age 4.

*Note, the Joseph above could be Joseph Angelo, or Angelo Joseph

1920:
1920 Census spelling was "Pacelli". The following were listed as living at 44 N. Portland Avenue Brooklyn, NY:

Joseph Pacelli, age 37 occupation barber and worked in a barber shop.

Wife Viola Pacelli, age 30 (could be 20), born in NY. Mother born in Ireland, father born in NY.

Father of Joseph: Frank Pacelli, age 74

Wife of Frank Pacelli: Jennie Pacelli, age 70

Grandson of Frank and Jennie, Eugene Amaddio

*The Jospeph above could be Joseph Angelo/or Angelo Joseph

1930:
Still living at 44 N. Portland Avenue, Brooklyn, NY was:

“Angelo” Pacelli, head of household, age 48, barber. This is most likely Joseph Pacelli listed in the 1900, 1910 & 1920 Census.

Also in the 1930 Census, a “Violet” Pacelli is living at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens, NY. Her age is 38, born in NY, parents from Ireland. This almost matches info from the 1920 Census for “Viola” Pacelli. Also, information from St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY lists a Viola Pacelli (died 1969 at Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center) as interred with Angelo Pacelli. Haven't returned to the cemetery to get additoinal information on this.

An aunt remembers some additional info: Frank and Jennie died in the early 1920s. The family (possibly Joseph/Angelo) owned a barbershop, possibly on Knickerbocker Avenue. She also remembers someone in the family owned a fruit store possibly in Coney Island and another may have been a detective. Also, in the early 1930s she remembers being visited by an Uncle Frank on Drew Avenue in Brooklyn. She remembers him having very white hair and was short. She also remembers the name "St Cyr" and an uncle having bad arthritis.
