Hi Jennifer,
I suspect we have a connection somehow. My gggrandmother was Josephine Pacelli. She married Gaetano Tortora and they had a son Gaetano who had 8 children, one of whom was my grandfather. They lived in Sarno. When he was young he used to say to his sister, "Come, Margaret, let's go visit Uncle Angelo Pacello in San Valentino Toro." Now our Pacelli name appears as Pacella and Pacelloeven on some legal documents. I found a San Valentino Torio about 2 1/2 miles from Sarno. This must be the place they visited. These are their childhood memeories so for a little girl to leave out the "i" in the name of the town is inconsequential. So, I'm wondering if we have related Pacelli lines. Josephine moved to NY with her son after her husgand died.
