Hi Edie,
I have not heard of your Mary Josephine, but then my family mentioned no other Pacelli's other than my great, great grandmother Josephine Pacelli & a cousin of hers named Angelo. I cannot fine Bell on a map. There is a Bella 50 miles east of Sarno where my family was from. Caserta is 20 miles NW of Sarno. I suspect all these folks who say they were related to the pope really were but perhaps some extemely distantly related. I think to solve our mystery we will have to get actual church records showing parents in order to trace this back. I have not had much luck with that. I have not received responses to my letters to the church in Sarno. I'll try to check on line to see if any of those church records have been recently posted. As I'm sure you know, Pacelli is pronounced Pachelli. So, your Pachell is probably just an anglicized spelling. Let's keep in touch & keep hunting. :)
