Hi, my name is Lou & i might be of some help? My grandfather born in Sumoma Italy on June 9, 1893 SCIPIONE, John mothers madden name PACELLI, Mary, fathers name Vito SCIPIONE.My grandfather came to the U.S. in 1905 when he was 12yrs old landing in Boston Mass. & settling in Lynn. Mass. before moving to Stamford Ct. where he passed away May, 1966.I've also been told by family members that my grandfather was a cousin to the Pope which i'm trying to confirm with out much success so far.There's an excellent article on the Pope's early years which you can read at http://books.philly.com/chapter/nonfict/99/cornwell_john.asp Hope you enjoy Lou.
