Hi Robin, In regards to question #3 ... I've been told that in the "old days" Poland's borders kept changing, and since Poland and Lithuania border each other, I think it's possible that your great grandmother was born in Poland, but by todays standards it is Lithuania, or vice-versa. I've just recently discovered that my great grandfather's name was Frank PACEWICZ, and that he came from Russia-Poland, his wife, Antonia came from Posen-Germany (Poland). Needless to say, I'm very confused at this point... My grandfather's name was George MITCHELL ... all this time I've been trying to research the Mitchell name only to find out "grandpa" decided to Americanize his name, so he changed it from Mitchell Pacewicz to George Mitchell ... Ah well ... such is my life. I hope you can find the answers you are looking for. Pam Notify Administrator about this message?
